Bio-remodelling is a cosmetic injectable treatment that involves the injection of a highly concentrated hyaluronic acid, vitamins and minerals into areas of the skin which have become weak, lax and have lost elasticity and strength. This results in a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells which encourages skin rejuvenation, collagen and elastin production, and deep hydration.

Bio-remodelling is the only treatment of its kind that remodels that skin from within and can achieve visible results within 2 weeks.

As we age, the presence of hyaluronic acid in the skin naturally starts to drop, which causes the skin to lose its natural firmness and elasticity.

Bio-remodelling uses a unique and highly concentrated form of hyaluronic acid to help counteract depletion. When injected into the skin, the hyaluronic acid flows and spreads to the other parts of the face and stimulates the skin's cell receptors to remodel the structure of the skin, improve laxity, restore firmness and provide intense hydration.

It is the only product on the market that stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin due to the slow release of hyaluronic acid. It is this stimulation that results in significant improvement of skin tissue quality.

Bio-remodelling is particularly effective in treating ‘crepey’ skin on the face, neck and décolletage.

Bio-remodelling is suitable for:

Bio-remodelling is not suitable for individuals who:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid

• Have an active skin infection (like acne or cold sores) in the treatment area

• Have a medical condition that lower the body’s immune response

• Are undergoing therapy that is immunosuppressive.

During a Cosmetic Injectables Consultation, our Cosmetic Nurse will discuss your needs and medical history.

We recommend an initial course of 2 bio-remodelling treatments, 4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 months.

The most common areas for bio-remodelling treatment include the face, neck and décolletage.

Bio-remodelling can be used to improve skin laxity on the hands, arms, knees, and abdomen areas.

During a bio-remodeling appointment, a highly concentrated form of hyaluronic acid is injected into 5 points on each side of the face using a very fine needle. These injection sites are called BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) and allow for fewer injection sites, reduced pain and bruising, and allow the product to flow through the skin tissue. Most people experience only mild discomfort.

The treatment is quick and typically takes about 10 minutes to perform.

Downtime following a bio-remodelling treatment is minimal and you can continue with most day-to-day activities. Generally, you’ll have small bumps that last between 2 to 24 hours before they disappear completely.

Some people may experience minor reactions including; slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising, pain, and/or tenderness. The reactions are generally mild to moderate and typically resolve within one or two days.

Yes! Bio-remodelling can beautifully complement many other aesthetic treatments, such as dermal filler and anti-wrinkle injections.

You may notice a refreshed appearance a week after your first bio-remodelling treatment, however, the full results can be seen 4 weeks after your second treatment.

The longevity of bio-remodelling depends on many factors, such as the individual's skin type, skin condition, lifestyle, and age.

We generally recommend a maintenance treatment every 6 to 12 months.

Prior to your bio-remodelling treatment it is important to follow the following pre-treatment instructions:

• The day of: Do not use make-up, lotions, creams, serums, tanners, or any other products on the area to be treated.

• The week before: Avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDS, anticoagulant drugs, gingko biloba, garlic flax oil, cod liver oil, vitamin A, vitamin E, and any other essential fatty acids

• 2 weeks prior: Avoid any chemical peels, facials, laser, and microdermabrasion

• 2 weeks prior: Avoid unprotected natural and artificial sun exposure of the area to be treated and wear a broad-spectrum 30+ SPF sunscreen.

• 4 weeks prior: Do not wax, bleach or use depilatory creams or have electrolysis.

To enjoy the best results and to avoid any adverse reactions, it is important to follow your aftercare instructions which your Nurse will discuss with you during your appointment and provide you with a pamphlet to take home.
